About us
Built by age groupers, for age groupers.
Race Trip is a travel planner that actually understands your race. Where to stay, when to arrive, and how to move you, your bike and your supporters around race weekend — ranked against the real logistics of the event, not generic city travel.
Why we built it
You train for months. Then race week arrives and the travel side is a guessing game. You book a hotel that looks close on a map, only to find it's a 30-minute drive from transition at 4am. Your family has no idea where to stand to see you on the course. The bike logistics are an afterthought.
We've lived it. Race Trip started because the big travel sites treat an IRONMAN like any other city break — they don't know where the swim start is, where T1 and T2 sit, or where your crew should be at the finish. We do.
What we do differently
Hotels ranked against transition
Swim start, T1, T2 and finish — we know where they are, and we rank stays by how close they actually are to where your race day begins.
Bike and kit logistics first
Secure bike storage and an easy walk to check-in matter on race morning. We treat them as first-class, not an afterthought.
Plans that fit you and your crew
Athletes and supporters have very different race-day mornings. We build for both, so your family knows exactly where to be.
Independent and honest
Race Trip is an independent planning tool. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by IRONMAN, World Triathlon Corporation, or any race organiser unless we say so explicitly.
We earn a commission when you book hotels or flights through some of our outbound links, at no extra cost to you. That never affects which options we recommend — the rankings are driven by race logistics, full stop. We don't process payments; every booking happens on the provider's own site.
Find your next race
Pick your event and we'll sort the stay, the logistics and the spectator plan — so all you have to think about is the race.
